I've been wanting to go here for quite some time. I felt my first experience was so long ago that I didn't remember if I just enjoyed the food as a first timer and was super hungry or it was genuine yum moment. After reading reviews, I realized I should make a reservation even for a party of two if dining on weekends. It was a smooth booking and check-in experience. Due to the fact that my party and I came with 15 minutes left before brunch was ending, the host notified us if there was any breakfast type items we wanted to check out the menu and place our order in before being seated. Good info to know! Once seated, I was able to admire the space itself. It's such a cute diner and I love how there's an open view of the kitchen too. I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of mac and cheese with a cappuccino. I thought everything was decent sized and tasty yummy. I ended up saving some of the sandwich for leftovers next day and it heated up in the air fryer well. I was sad that they forgot my cornbread order because I wanted to re-try but next time. All and all, I find that this place is a nice gem that is a good repeat establishment. But definitely make reservations if you plan on coming on the weekend. Their direct parking lot is small but I saw many people park in the lot next to the restaurant. So a definite win, one less thing to worry about.

Alright, this place is still AMAZING. My husband and I hail all the way from Texas and can say with absolute certainty that their have the best cornbread in town. Hands down. The ambiance is an upscale diner of sorts, where you can either come in your Sunday best or stroll in with some yoga pants and a messy bun. Seriously, you'll fit in either way. We've always had a great experience! The staff is knowledgeable and pleasant, and everything we've ordered from their menu has been delicious. You wouldn't think a restaurant that sells good brisket and ribs would also have good oysters...but they absolutely do. If I absolutely had to complain about something, it would probably be that they don't give enough bbq sauce. That's just how we do it in Texas though, so it might not be an issue for everyone.

Highly recommend making a reservation (even for a small group) as this place seems to always be packed. It's a decently sized restaurant with an outdoor patio area as well. If you're craving some comfort food, this is definitely the place to go. We got some deviled eggs and cornbread to start, and both were delicious! I followed with a veggie benny. The black bean patty was so good and not dry at all. The biscuit that it was on was so flaky and buttery. Absolutely loved this meal and will be coming back for sure!
